There is always a beginning

Where to start? The beginning. Having spent a year writing at HubPages creating a base for earning potential, exploring different writing genres (just a few so far) while discovering through learning a question is pondered. Where the __________ am I? Time to take a look at what has happened, what did not happen, and what he would like to have happen. Then proactively make a plan.

Another Hidden Secret

Now, you the reader wants to know, hunger to understand, thirst to see just what the heck the author is talking about. Well, first let’s share a deep secret to hubpages, which surely will take you on a trip of the imagination and cognition too. Paul Deeds, a co-founder of hubpages has published one hub. Yes, one hub. Although his contributions are massive regarding the infrastructure of technical wizardry here at hubpages, this odd little hub tells a story many may not know.

Go to this link to discover just what it is all about. Read it and the poem with little haste, grasping its quiet wisdom, and then take a gander here at Ralph Deeds profile.

Next, go back think of Wal-Mart, I mean ponder it. Savor a cup of tea, a cup of coffee, while tossing it about in your mind. Categorize its impact on your life, your friends, everyone’s while thinking of both the negatives and positives.

This author has studied, re-read, pondered, and looked about Ralph Deed’s profile, on and off for a bit now. There is a very simple profile, yet the complexity of the bio is immense – 640 hubs to date (02/09/2012). The most revealing lesson learned was reading through all the titles of Ralph’s hubs. Taking five years to amass the biggest lesson this teacher has taught this author is “time will tell.”

Realization its for Love

OK, now taking a quick left turn, for just a moment or two the author’s mind is traveling through time. Time will tell. William Tell. Didn’t he shoot an apple from off his son’s head in legend with an arrow? From the medieval times, right? This author likes to incessantly play with words for no known reason. Will – I – AM TELL, is a mystery for sure. Time will tell. The math says, oh never mind, refocus, clear the mechanism (For Love of the Game).

Surveying the Garden Plot

So, this author says loudly, “enough of this and that, let’s get down to baking cookies!” (It’s about breakfast time, and the neighbor is baking cookies).

This author’s decision tree for hubpages 2012 for Learning and Development follows (Usually planning takes place in September, but spring time arrived late).

  • Who is the Audience?
  • What to write about?
  • Where is the market?
  • When to write?
  • Why write?
  • How much will it cost?

Making Sense of the Jibberish

Overwhelming for sure, yet after the exercise in mind mapping there is clarity. (Want to know more about mindmapping visit this poem where more info lies in video format) And, there is a trail of understanding the complexity of how does one earn money here at hubpages? How does one build a social circle(s) of friends? Are there others like minded to our selves creating both recognition and providing a sense of belonging? Who is creating this for fellow students of Hubpages? While, our media centered minds go – “What is the catch?”

An awesome book titled Increasing Your Leadership Confidence by Bobb Biehl first chapter is “Asking Questions.” Briefly this chapter says there are types of questions. Using the KISS method (An alternative KISS method - Don’t you hate how much money they made on a simple principal, “Give ‘em what they want”), or Keep It Simple and Succinct those types of questions are:

  1. Problem Solving Questions
  2. Teaching Questions
  3. Mind-Stretching Questions
  4. Rhetorical Questions
  5. Persuasive Questions
  6. Inner-Search Questions
  7. Logic-Check Questions
  8. Prioritizing Questions
  9. Conversational Questions
  10. Research Questions

Bobb Biehl in table or chart format explains each of these have:

  • Function
  • Gives an Example
  • How to Develop a Question of this type
  • And, Standard Basis of This Question Type

The chapters are arranged alphabetically as he states to use it as a reference book with no beginning or end. This author likes the M’s.

  • Masterplanning
  • Money
  • Motivating Yourself
  • Motivating Others

You Have to Invest Something

Time (when) is the proclaimed Nemesis of the author, yet the complexity lay in “What, Who, and Where" and not when. In the hub Investing or More Treasure Hunting at Hubpages the author introduces a concept of discovering one’s strengths then building on those. Now, he also advocates discovering which element of the story is the simplest to create. For this author it is “How Much, When and Why” as shown from the Mind Map exercise. Remembering from complexity, comes simplicity.

Maximizing Connections While Learning

At this time, the author, ‘Sees’ [isn’t that chocolate candy? Happy Valentine's Day Ladies - Mom's, Daughters, Sisters, Girl Friends, GrandMom's, Aunts, Great GrandMom's - One and All. This is the best I can do, savor one morsel of chocolatey delight while remembering my wish for you - Thank You], a future, a vision for earning and learning here at the University of Hubpages.

From 10-years of assessing his strengths (assessing every 2 – 3 years) there are three repetitive strengths (Listed in strengths order).

  1. Learner
  2. Connectedness
  3. Maximizer

The mind map points out in order the simplest to achieve for the goal: Pre-Planning the next adventure at Hubpages for 2012 leading to the Goal or touchdown, (they use to say that when a capsule hit the ocean after re-entry into earth’s atmosphere, now they land – smile).

Simplest (In simplest order)

  1. When
  2. Why
  3. How Much

Complex (I can see it on my wall all nice and big) (In complex to simplest)

  • Who
  • What
  • Where

And, now being over 1,000 words I must come to an end with this little diddly-dee-dah-de-dah.

Tick-Tock the clock roars like a lion with a thorn in its paw,

An angelic being haunts the garden bringing love and joy,

A daughter never known has become a great friend,

The dragon of the east became friends with that of the west.

(Strat solo here, blues paced nice and slow)

Just words, little letters like lost children seeking togetherness,

Running about, dancing with a vowel or a consonant or two,

Y sees Z, and L pass O, M&N get cold in wintertime,

And there are ghosts in SC and WVA, just maybe X too.

(Drums and Strat dueling it out about here)

Then comes along rules and stuff,

Add a dot there, a hook too may be needed,

What about those becoming semi friends,

Darn, a home run or a strike, one never knows

(The harmonica chimes in for the ending ballad of the squiggles)
